practice make perfect

After a merger there is a whole lot of fun to be had...
 practicing with your new team.

60 plus at practice.
ONLY 15 A- side slots taking the field at the kickoff
an alpha male tsunami
A pocket Hercules of a coach, a roided out fitness dwarf
50 scrums tonight boys.
Inches off the ground.
Good, tight binds, behemouths behind you, riding the machine.
Some of the best scrumming ever, fighting for your position against the team you used to STEP ON IN GAMES. exchanging cheap shots was what front rows did when i was learning the game
i learned it from you TRAUTH, i learned it from you...
lol

practice was 50+ scrums and seeing who works best.
Gearing up to take on the local bully ex national  champions who,
historically, would just crush us both and laugh about it, during the game sometimes.
arrogant bastards
international accented dickheads
they didn't even come to the after-game parties for the most part

i didn't know how different this club was that i was playing on
it was my first rugby team and someone decided i was a loose head at SUD

i really didn't get much coaching, but i wrestled in high school
i knew about leverage
so when the opposing prop was really low
i often would gently dump him on his face
which was dangerous
but at the time
young and un-coached
wanting to win it seemed like the right move
